Our History

Arkfeld, a 1993 pre-law graduate from Creighton University, was previously the VP of Operations at Arkfeld Mfg & Distr. Co., Inc. - a Nebraska-based, family-owned manufacturer of Ag-related products - started almost exactly 100-years ago to the day in June of 1917!

Anthony helped to co-develop a custom safe and vault door product line that was distributed nationwide and sold from 1979 through 2012. Arkfeld not only designed, but also personally built, thousands of safe and vault products over his 22-year career in manufacturing.

Arkfeld Security products were sold to private customers, law enforcement and corporate individuals alike, including area chapters of "Pheasants Forever®" and "Ducks Unlimited®", not to mention the Nebraska State Patrol, B-ATF and the US Customs and Border Patrol.

Arkfeld started his first security-related company in 2009 to manufacture vehicle armoring and surveillance equipment, where shortly thereafter the manufacturing facility and was damaged beyond repair by a flash flood that overtook the community in June of 2010. He was owner of Arkfeld Security Technologies, LLC from 2009 - 2012 - which was a GSA listed supplier to Homeland Security, US Border Patrol and the US Military. Arkfeld Security Technologies (AST) fabricating armored surveillance products and emergency response water treatment systems for use in disaster relief situations following hurricane Katrina.

During his time running AST, Anthony served alongside state and federal law enforcement officials, US Customs and Border Patrol, and the United State Air Force providing armored surveillance products, training and technical support for matters pertaining to base security, illegal drug enforcement, and illegal arms apprehension.

After the GSA contract work was finished, Anthony returned to Norfolk, and studied with a nationally-accredited locksmith school (after hours) while working as a hardware manager for Century Lumber Center in Norfolk. In July of 2013, Anthony helped develop and launch the locksmithing program at Century Lumber Center - following the loss of another long-standing locksmith business in the Norfolk area in August of 2013.

We started from scratch - buying new key stock, tools, and the latest equipment to provide the Norfolk Area with the largest selection of key stock (and the most consistent key-cutting available) at the best prices around.

Now, after over 27-years of earning Northeast Nebraska's trust and praise, Anthony has ventured out again with Arkfeld Lock & Security to focus more clearly on offering expert locksmith services, utilizing the latest and very best equipment, at fair and affordable prices.
